To the east of Hallandsåsen stretches hilly beech and spruce forests with easy trails, gravel roads and the heather marshes of the Böhlinge nature reserve where sheep graze. And at the end of Skåneleden there is a stone formation – the house of the giant Snibe. According to legend, Snibe made a cave of stones for himself and his other half.

Stensån Äspered, Nature Reserve. The Stensan-Aspered Nature Reserve in the municipality of Laholm includes a section of the Stensan River and deciduous marshy forests that provide habitat for otter, eel and salmon; however, due to its difficult accessibility and lack of infrastructure, it is not intended for tourist visits.
Musikedalen Nature Reserve. The 110-hectare Musikedalen Nature Reserve on the Hallandsåsen Plateau, on the border with Skåne, is characterised by steep slopes, marshy forests and beech slopes; although forest roads run through it, there are no established trails, so a detailed map is recommended for visiting.
Hålebäckseröd, Nature Reserve. The Hulebexeröd Nature Reserve on the slope to the Kegleon River Gorge consists mainly of young beech groves with an abundance of dead wood, creating valuable habitats for rare insects; due to its inaccessibility and lack of recreational infrastructure, it is recommended to visit it with caution.

Lunden Nature Reserve represents a unique ecosystem where ancient beech forests, wetland areas, and meadows provide ideal living conditions for rare plant and animal species such as moose, deer, and various bird species, with the area being strictly protected to preserve nature by prohibiting plant collection, tree felling, and other actions that could disturb the fragile ecological balance.
